Mariage of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais!

A marriage is always a wonderful and festive moment to bring together families. Last Saturday was the grand day to show their compassion for the local wines as ten city halls of Lyon celebrated their marriage to the ten Crus of Beaujolais. The city of Lyon hosted the event called “10 Mairies, 10 Crus” that was held in the square “Place des Terreaux” of Lyon. Wine-makers from the ten Crus Appellations of Beaujolais descended on the city of Lyon in full parade of their wines. Other events during the day were the battle of the bands in musical fanfare, Demonstrations of how wine is made, Wine tastings by the Association des Sommeliers de Lyon et Rhône Alpes (ASLERA) and regional food tastings with gourmet recipes paired with the Crus wines of Beaujolais by the Toques Blanches. There were even events for children such as ateliers of colors and aromas, puppet shows and a Halloween-style carrousel for the little ones…

Along with these activities, tastings where held in the following ten City Halls throughout the city of Lyon.
